Cardio Strength Training Workout Video

This is a workout designed to work on power and explosiveness while combining a cardiovascular promote getting in good shape and aerobic capacity. This workout is great for sports that require cardiorespiratory endurance and explosive power, such as boxing and football. It is also good if you simply want a great workout to help you gain strength and lose weight by burning a lot of calories.

The Cardio and Strength Training Regimen:

This cardio strength training workout video is a very intense workout and can be a great addition to your workout regimen. This high intensity full body workout combines cardiovascular regimen with a  with a strength aspect as well. The different types of workouts are described in the article titled slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers, but in summary, when you perform 1-6 reps with a 3-5 minute rest, you are working your “muscular strength.” The jump rope portion of the workout adds in a cardiovascular portion allowing you to burn more calories and lose weight fast!

Straight Leg Deadlift

  • 4 sets
  • 4-6 reps
  • 3 minute rest between sets

Broad Jump

  • 4 sets
  • 10 reps
  • 1 minute rest between sets

Jump Rope For 3 Minutes!

  • 3 sets
  • 12 reps
  • 1 minute rest between sets

Flat Bench Press

  • 4 sets
  • 3-5 reps
  • 3 minute rest between sets

Jump Rope For 3 Minutes!!

Wide Grip Pull-up

  • 4 sets
  • 12 reps
  • 1 minute rest between sets

Squat Jumps

  • 3 sets
  • 12 reps
  • 1 minute rest between sets

For the last part of the workout, you will be performing the 3 exercises listed below as a circuit with no rest in-between exercises. After completing all 3 exercises, take a 2 minute rest and repeat. You will be completing a total of 4 sets.

  1. Hanging Leg Raises – 10 reps
  2. Hanging Alternating Knee-ups – 10 reps
  3. Hanging Ab Twists – 10 reps
